If you have difficulty installing docker desktop or at least if you have struggled to install docker destop under windows this tutorial is for you. In this tutorial we will try to install docker desktop on our windows operating system machine.

Docker download
Go to the Docker site link: Docker Desktop
Click on Download Docker Desktop for Windows.

INSTALLATION

For installation I advise you to go to this page and read the system requirements in relation to your system
Link: System Requirements
To find out the compatibility information with your system you can do Windows + R and type winver you will have a screen like this

Compare this with what you have in the Docker for System Requirements page.
If your system is compatible with Waw Cool let’s go!

Now we are going to install Docker Desktop. Click on the Docker search bar then Docker Desktop
Ops we come across this weird message!:

To solve this problem I think there are several solutions what I did is first open my file manager and in the address bar I type this AppData/Roaming/Docker to access the folders and open settings.json

Look at these lines:

Saved and close

Now let’s see if we have activated Virtualization to do this, type in the search bar Turn Windows features on or of you will have a dialog box like this, modify the boxes framed in red to activate virtualization.

Validate with the ok button, Once the installation is complete it may ask you to restart your computer

Restart your machine Once the machine is turned on, check if the update is carried out.To do this, type in your Task Manager search and check if Virtualization is enabled.

If Virtualization is not Enabled, let’s try to do it with the BIOS, you can restart your computer and start. Type F10 (my case)

Once virtualization is Enabled you can launch Docker Desktop again

If the error persists you can clean the docker caches by deleting this
docker folder on.

type %USERPROFILE% to access the docker folder and delete the
Then restart Docker Desktop again.

After struggling to find the solution, I would like to share it in order to help other people find the solution more easily.
